Mark Heptonstall - Founder & CEO

Mark brings over 20 years of experience in property, consultancy, and architecture, offering a unique strategic perspective on projects. With a varied experience of roles in Barratt, Persimmon and Stroma and latterly as founder and Managing Director of the C80 Group, Mark’s leadership is driven by a passion for growth, sustainability, and innovation. He is committed to forging long-term client partnerships, empowering teams, and delivering forward-thinking solutions. Beyond leading significant business growth, Mark’s entrepreneurial achievements include being nominated for the 42 under 42 Business Leaders List in 2022 and completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business course in 2019.

Oliver Bentley - Managing Director

Oliver joined the group as its first employee in 2011, bringing technical expertise gained as an energy assessor and SAP Scheme Manager. With over 17 years of experience in consultancy, property, and construction, Oliver has been integral to the company’s growth and became an equity director in 2020. Known for his innovative approach to sustainable development and practical solutions, Oliver ensures continued operational excellence and long-term client value as our Operations Director.

Chris Tongue - Commercial Director

Chris joined in 2022 to lead business development and drive strategic growth. With over 15 years of experience spanning sales, finance, and general management, Chris excels in building high-performing teams and fostering client relationships. Holding an MBA, he is skilled in strategic planning and commercial partnerships, aligning his work with our company mission to deliver effective, innovative and client-focused solutions and services.

Richard Orme - Finance Director

Richard is a highly experienced Finance Director with over 20 years in financial management and strategic leadership. Joining us in 2024, he brings expertise in private equity, corporate finance, and optimising business performance. Richard’s focus on continuous improvement and sustainable growth ensures that group financial operations remain robust and forward-focused.

Kim Chatrath - HR Director

Kim joined in 2021, bringing over 12 years of HR experience across sectors such as retail, customer care, and finance. A CIPD-qualified professional with a master’s in Personnel and Development, Kim combines strategic insight with hands-on expertise. She leads our People Strategy, fostering a supportive workplace culture that positions the company as an employer of choice.

Jason Foster - Director - Building Safety

Jason is Director of enevo’s Building Safety division, having held previous senior roles in the business. With over 35 years of experience in Building Control and regulatory consultancy, he brings trusted expertise to high-risk and complex projects spanning residential, healthcare, education, defence, and industrial sectors. A Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Building Engineer, and Associate of the Institution of Fire Engineers, Jason is also a Registered Building Inspector (Class 4(2&3), Class 3G/H). He leads on regulatory risk, fire safety strategy, and Building Regulations compliance - guiding clients and dutyholders through evolving legislation with clarity, confidence, and assurance.

Josh Sykes - Associate Director - Building Safety

Associate Director in enevo’s Building Safety division, Josh is a Chartered Architect with over 12 years’ experience delivering higher-risk and complex projects across residential, industrial, commercial, and education.

He is a registered Principal Designer for higher-risk buildings under the RIBA scheme, regularly delivering both Building Regulations Principal Designer and CDM Principal Designer roles. His strengths include multi-disciplinary design coordination, compliance reviews, and detailed tracking from concept through to handover. He also holds a Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination.

Andrew Hill - Marketing Director

Andrew is a marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience. He has a track record in increasing sales leads and evolving brands in various environments, including privately-owned, U.S. Corporates, and acquisitive PE-backed firms. At Awaze, (Europe’s leading holiday rentals and resorts business), he directed B2B marketing across 20 countries, achieving consistent and substantial organic growth. He also managed marketing input, analysis, and onboarding for key M&A activities.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in the onboarding and integration of over a dozen acquisitions, often involving multiple trading brand names, as well as developing new brand identities to consolidate products and services under a unified banner.

Piers Durrant - Marketing & Commercial Manager

An accomplished Senior Marketing Professional with over 20 years’ experience leading award-winning teams across the insurance, finance, and retail sectors. Strategic and innovative with a pragmatic approach, I combine creative thinking with commercial insight to deliver impactful marketing strategies that drive growth and strengthen brand presence. Recognised for my leadership and ability to inspire collaboration, I bring energy, vision, and results-focused execution to every challenge

Joe Green - Associate Director - Building Control (North)

Joe is Associate Director of enevo’s Building Control division, bringing over 20 years of expertise in Building Regulations compliance. A Chartered Building Engineer and Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F), Joe has delivered successful outcomes on projects across residential, education, care, hotel, and industrial sectors. He leads with a practical, client-focused approach—helping developers, architects, and contractors navigate the complexities of Building Control with clarity and confidence. Joe’s deep technical knowledge and on-the-ground experience make him a trusted advisor for keeping projects compliant, safe, and on track.

John Norfolk - Director – Building Control (North)

John has been part of the construction industry since 2004, building extensive expertise in compliance, building regulations, and project delivery. Known for his clear communication and reliable service, John ensures projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. His hands-on experience and customer-focused approach make him a trusted partner for clients and colleagues alike.

Kirsty Podesta - Senior Technical Administrator – Building Control

Kirsty brings over 20 years of experience in property and construction, excelling in compliance, mentoring, and business growth. Her proactive approach and passion for Building Control and Safety ensure projects meet the highest standards. Kirsty’s ability to tackle challenges and foster client confidence make her a key asset for us and our customers.

Jonathon Hill - Director – Building Compliance

Jonathon has over 12 years of experience in building compliance and sustainability, with a proven track record of driving results. Joining the business in 2018, Jonathon has led his division to significant growth while promoting high-quality, sustainable solutions. He is dedicated to helping clients achieve compliance and operational goals through innovative, client-centred strategies.

Harry Hinchliffe - Associate Director – Building Compliance

Harry has more than six years of experience in construction and sustainability, specialising in BREEAM and Whole Life Carbon Assessments. As a licensed BREEAM Advisory Professional, he guides clients in implementing sustainable practices that enhance environmental performance. Harry’s analytical expertise ensures clients can confidently navigate complex sustainability challenges.

Tammy Temperley - Senior Technical Administrator – Building Compliance

With over 18 years of experience in property, Tammy has developed expertise in client engagement, operational support, and commercial consultancy. Over her decade working with us, she has become a trusted first point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery. Tammy’s organisational skills and ability to build strong relationships are integral to meeting operational needs.

Chloe Mee - Client Manager

Chloe has multiple years of experience in the built environment sector, focusing on identifying opportunities and developing client relationships. Her background in customer service and sales enables her to deliver tailored solutions that leave clients feeling supported. Chloe’s strong analytical and problem-solving skills are key to her success in driving business growth.

Mark Goldsmith - Head of Compliance

Mark is a seasoned Building Control professional with over 30 years’ experience across local authority and private sectors. He has overseen a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, education, and healthcare developments, combining deep technical expertise with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance.

At enevo, Mark plays a key role in governance and professional oversight, ensuring alignment with statutory duties under the Building Safety Regulator and maintaining BSI ISO 9001 standards. His background in leading teams, auditing processes, and refining operational frameworks underpins his commitment to consistent, compliant, and client-focused service delivery.

Rebecca Wray - Senior Technical Administrator Building Safety

Rebecca plays a key role in enevo’s Building Safety team, providing vital technical and administrative support across a wide range of projects. Since joining the business in February 2023, she has become a key point of contact for clients and colleagues alike, ensuring smooth coordination, accurate documentation, and timely communication throughout every project stage.

Her proactive approach and attention to detail help maintain the high standards of governance and compliance that underpin the enevo Building Safety Division’s work, while her strong client liaison skills contribute to a professional and responsive service experience.

Our Rebrand

Since 2010, we've grown organically and through strategic acquisitions. Starting out as C80 Solutions, we focused primarily on building compliance. In 2019 YDBC joined us, a specialist building control business. In 2020 C80 Group was formed to house new businesses we acquire. Ask Building Control joined us in 2020 and in 2024 enevo was born.

enevo was born to create a united front and singular name, offering clients a full-service and integrated approach. enevo stands for enabling evolution, which is at the core of what we do.
