Building Compliance
enevo is continuing its strategic growth with the acquisition of Environmental Noise Solutions Limited (ENS), a specialist acoustic consultancy based in Doncaster. The move strengthens enevo’s technical capability in noise, vibration and acoustic compliance, while expanding its regional presence across Yorkshire and the Midlands.
A proven acoustic consultancy with regional strength
Founded in 2003, ENS has built a strong reputation over more than two decades, supporting projects across planning, construction and operational stages. Its work spans environmental noise assessments, building acoustics and compliance-led monitoring across residential, commercial and infrastructure schemes.
From its Doncaster base, ENS has worked across a wide range of developments, combining technical expertise with a practical, delivery-focused approach that aligns closely with enevo’s way of working.
Why acoustic performance matters more than ever
Acoustic performance is increasingly becoming a critical factor in project delivery. From planning approval through to completion, noise and vibration considerations can influence scheme viability, programme and stakeholder confidence.
For developers, architects and contractors, this means acoustic strategy can’t sit in isolation any longer. It needs to be considered alongside wider compliance, sustainability and design objectives from the outset.
Delivering a more joined-up approach
The addition of ENS supports enevo’s approach to delivering more joined-up, multidisciplinary advice across the lifecycle of a built environment project. By integrating additional specialist acoustic expertise into its Building Compliance offer, enevo is even better placed to support clients with coordinated, practical solutions that reduce risk and improve project outcomes.

ENS will continue to operate from its Doncaster base, maintaining the local relationships and service standards it is known for, while benefiting from the scale, reach, support and capability of the wider enevo group.
Supporting growing demand for integrated compliance
The acquisition also reflects a broader shift that most are seeing in the built environment. As regulatory expectations evolve and projects become more complex, the demand for integrated testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) services continues to grow.
Clients are increasingly looking for partners who can bring multiple disciplines together, reducing fragmentation and improving clarity across projects.
Continuing enevo’s growth strategy
This latest addition follows enevo’s recent acquisition activity and is supported by its expanded funding facility with Santander UK, enabling continued investment in specialist capability across building compliance, building safety and building control.
For clients, the outcome should be a greater depth of expertise and increase in capacity, improved coordination across disciplines, and a more streamlined route to achieving compliant, deliverable schemes.
