enevo’s latest funding milestone with Santander UK signals further growth and a wider shift across the built environment.

As regulatory expectations tighten and built environment projects become more complex, the demand for joined-up, technically robust compliance support is increasing at pace. Developers, architects and contractors are all under even more pressure to evidence clear, coordinated compliance across building safety, sustainability and performance, not just at completion, but throughout the lifecycle of a project.
enevo is firmly positioning itself to provide clients with the support needed in this niche. The latest expanded multi-million pound facility, which significantly increases enevo’s existing funding arrangement with Santander UK, is intended to accelerate a clear strategy, building a national, multidisciplinary consultancy that brings together testing, inspection, certification and compliance services under one roof.
For clients, this is absolutely critical. Juggling fragmented advice, multiple consultants and disconnected reporting have long been a challenge in the sector. As regulatory frameworks evolve, particularly under the Building Safety Act, that fragmentation, and the need to juggle multiple sources of advice, can become a real risk. Projects require alignment, consistency and a clear line of accountability across disciplines.
enevo’s strategic approach is to simplify that landscape. By combining Building Safety, Building Compliance and, via a separate arm of the business, Registered Building Control services, the business aims to provide a single, coordinated partner that supports projects from early design through to construction and final approval.
The latest additional funding accelerates that ambition in two ways.
First, through targeted acquisitions. The recent acquisition of JM Partnership has already strengthened enevo’s Building Control capability and extended its national reach. With multiple further acquisitions in progress and close to completion, the business is actively building out its technical depth and geographic coverage.
Second, through continued investment in people and capability. Demand for specialist services linked to the Building Safety Act is growing rapidly, from Building Regulations Principal Designer roles to Gateway submissions and safety case development. Alongside this, clients are seeking broader support around sustainability, ESG and performance measurement.
The combination of regulatory pressure and client demand is reshaping the market, challenging the traditional model of isolated consultancy services and driving a shift towards integrated platforms that can provide consistent, end-to-end support. For clients, this means faster decision-making, clearer accountability and reduced risk across projects. For the sector, it also signals a move towards greater professionalism, stronger oversight and more rigorous evidence of compliance, as legislation now requires.
enevo’s strengthened and ongoing relationship with Santander UK provides the financial backing to scale at pace, but the underlying driver is clear, as the built environment evolves, so too must the way compliance and technical assurance are delivered.
