enevo has been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, recognising the company as one of the UK’s leading medium-sized organisations for workplace culture and employee engagement.
The recognition is another proud moment for the business and reflects the positive environment being built across enevo as it continues to grow its national capability across Building Safety, Building Compliance and Building Control.
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, powered by WorkL, recognises organisations that meet strict employee engagement criteria. For enevo, the result is a welcome sign that the business is growing in the right way: with its people, clients and culture at the centre.
A recognition shaped by the whole team
Workplace culture isn’t built by a single person, an HR policy or one particular moment. It’s shaped every day by everyday actions: how teams communicate, support each other, solve problems, overcome challenges and work with clients.
Across the enevo teams, our people play a vital role in helping clients deliver successful projects and navigate building safety duties, compliance requirements, sustainability targets and Building Regulations.
That work can be complex and demanding, which is why a strong, supportive internal culture matters. It helps our teams stay connected, share knowledge and give clients clear, practical support from early design through to completion.
Growing with purpose
The Sunday Times recognition comes during a period of continued growth for enevo.
The business has significantly expanded its services, strengthened its specialist teams and continued to bring together expertise across the built environment. That includes support for Building Regulations Principal Designer duties, Gateway submissions, energy and sustainability compliance, environmental consultancy, technical testing and independent Building Control services.
As we grow, maintaining a positive and supportive culture remains vital to our long-term success.
A strong workplace helps attract and retain experienced, driven people. It also supports our clients, as we continue to build industry-leading teams that are well placed to deliver responsive, coordinated and consistent support.
Mark Heptonstall, Founder and CEO of enevo, said:
“Being named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 is a fantastic achievement and something everyone across enevo should feel proud of. It was a great honour to be listed in 2025, but to make the list again in 2026, during a year of significant acquisition-led growth, makes this recognition even more meaningful. As we continue to grow, culture matters more than ever. We want enevo to be a place where people feel supported, trusted and able to do work they’re proud of.”
“This year’s recognition reflects the effort, attitude and care shown by our teams every day. It’s their achievement.”
Building a business people are proud to be part of
For enevo, this recognition is a reminder that growth works best when it’s built on strong relationships, clear communication and shared standards.
The built environment continues to change quickly. Regulation is becoming more complex, clients need more joined-up support, and talented people want to work in businesses where they can make a meaningful contribution.
enevo’s aim is to keep building that kind of business: expert, approachable, ambitious and grounded in the values that help people do their best work.
Thank you to everyone across enevo who’s helped make this recognition possible.
